The first period of the RCIA process called Pre-Catechumenates or Inquiry is a time of getting acquainted with the Catholic Church and the faith community. There is no formal commitment to the Church at any time during this period, but rather it is an unlimited time for hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ, for prayer, for asking questions about the practices and teachings of the Catholic Faith, and for sharing experiences.
Inquiry sessions may begin at any time and will continue as long as needed. Then, the Inquirer, through a discernment process, may decide to move on to the next period. For more information, call the church office..
